The Center for Academic Development strives to keep the academic community apprised of its activities and endeavors by publishing an informational newsletter three times per academic year.

Often our newsletter is paired with WordPLAy, a publication produced periodically by the Prior Learning Assessment group (PLA).

Not only does the CAD's newsletter provide timely articles of interest to faculty and staff, but it also highlights what's new in the CAD. Recently, we publicized our new interactive tutorials and informed readers of the popularity of our spring workshops for individuals preparing for the Illinois teacher certification tests, Basic Skills and Content Area 110.

Recent editions have highlighted topics relating to online learning, accommodating students with disabilities, and technology in the classroom. Often the full text of abbreviated articles is posted here on the CAD Web pages.

Learning Power is our way of keeping in touch with the NLU community. We invite you to read the latest newsletter or search our archives. Your comments are always welcome.
