What is CyberCAD?

You can email us anytime using our online email service, CyberCAD@nl.edu. This is a good way to submit an assignment for CAD review and comments prior to submitting it for a grade. You can also request advice about formatting a paper or correctly citing sources according to your assignment's required documentation style.

Online students will appreciate the ease of contacting the CAD using this service.

How to submit a paper to the CAD for review

  • Save your paper as a Microsoft Word document (file extension .doc) on your computer.
  • Open your email and compose a new message.
  • In your message, provide a brief summary of the assignment guidelines, your name, your program of study, your campus, the date by which you need to receive feedback, and a phone number in case the learning specialist needs to contact you.
  • Address message to CyberCAD@nl.edu.
  • Attach the Microsoft Word document (your paper) to the email.
  • SEND to CyberCAD@nl.edu.
  • Allow enough time to revise your paper once you receive comments from the CAD.

Please allow 2-3 days turnaround time. Although most papers can be returned within this time frame, long papers may require extra time.

CAD Virtual Office

The CAD's Virtual Office hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 6 PM to 9 PM CT.

CAD's Virtual Office is made possible by Meebo, an instant messaging program which supports multiple IM services (source: Wikipedia, 2008).

You can meet with a CAD learning specialist during Virtual Office hours for an online, real-time dialogue by typing your question and receiving a reply.

If you submit a question outside of office hours, you will be contacted by email if you include your email address in your message.
